Dishub Proposed Transjakarta Service at Halim Airport

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) is on progress of proposing Transjakarta bus service at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport. Considering this airport is recently open for commercial flights.

I have proposed it, thus Transjakarta can be permitted to enter Halim

Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, there is no mass transportation serving from and to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (shuttle) until now. Thus his side is initiative to propose Transjakarta bus to be permitted entering the airport.

"I have proposed it, thus Transjakarta can be permitted to enter Halim. So, after exit from the airport, public transportation is ready at the outside," he said, Tuesday (9/5).

Dishub will Rerouting 120 KWK Routes

According to him, by preparing public transportation, people can have another option by using public transportation instead of private vehicle to the airport.

"This can also reduce traffic congestion. Because there is an option to use public transportation to airport without using private vehicle," he explained.

He mentioned, Transjakarta bus routes is more flexible now. Though it just has 13 corridors, but it serves more than 100 routes.

"So, it cannot be assessed just by its corridor number. Even there are just 13 corridor existed, but it has many routes," he closed.
